My building On FIRE!

Our apartment fire alarm is going. The hall has smoke it in. I am on the fourth floor. I can hear the pounding of feet in the hallway. I can't see out but I can hear the fire engines coming. Will they remember I am on the 4th floor. Indy can't go down the stairs. Should I risk the elevator?
