i want: dresses from UO's 12 days of dresses

intro: for those of you not down with the abbreve, "UO" = "urban outfitters."  aka, my mecca.  or one of the many.  i'm an equal opportunity shopper.

anywho... reason #12387 [or something along those lines] why i love OU is their "12 days of dresses" campaign on their website/blog.  how cool is that!  here are my top 4:

 kimchi blue gosling dress [day 6] & cooperative swan dress [day 7]

silence & noise lords leaping dress [day 10] & cooperative pipers dress [day 11]

big surprise that my faves are solids, super fun, mostly black, girly, and structured.  predictable.  but soooo pretty!

the best part?  all are totally affordable.  unfortunately, this young chickadee is in no place to buy any dresses over about $20 [second-hand stores, here i come!].  still... lovely.  as usual.

celeb style: sjp in marchesa

the lovely sarah jessica parker in a dreamy marchesa dress back in march:

marchesa can do no wrong in my book.  this unique & frilly take on the traditionally structured LBD is a breath of fresh air.  love, love, looooove marchesa.

sexy & feminine.  incredible.

celeb style: rachel mcadams in instyle magazine oct 2010

one of my style/beauty icons, and sometimes doppelganger, rachel mcadams, graced the glossy pages of instyle magazine this month.  and boy oh boy is she stunning!!  i'm heading out to buy my own copy asap, just so i can add some of these photographs to my inspiration board.  i mean, seriously.... wow.

cat-eye perfection:

  flawless.  and without gobs of makeup?  now that's a look to emulate.
