Beth brought back some bug from Sakura-con and it has really taken her down. Yesterday she had the worst sore throat she can ever remember having and mucus was flowing down her airway, inflaming her bronchial tubes. She communicated by writing notes to me and the careworkers.
Today the throat doesn't hurt as much but the nausea, weakness and fever have taken over. With the exception of trips to the bathroom and a few minutes at her computer she has been in bed all day.
Tomorrow will be another bed day, I think.
Her illness is worrisome as people with autonomic failure tend to die from pneumonia so we are trying what we can to make sure what she has doesn't progress to pneumonia.
Beth will write again when she's feeling a bit better.
